How to split every page into its own PDF
- Open the PDF. The panel is already set to Every page, and the summary tells you how many files you will get.
- Split. Each page is copied into a new PDF. Text stays selectable and images keep their quality.
- Download the ZIP. Files are named after your document with a zero-padded page number, for example
statement-page-07.pdf, so they sort correctly in any folder.
When it helps
- Batch scans. Twenty receipts or letters scanned in one go become twenty separate files, ready to rename or file.
- Upload forms that want one page per field, such as separate front and back of an ID card.
- Sharing a single page of a long document without sending the rest.
- Workflows that process pages individually, like signing tools that accept only one page at a time.
Other ways to split
Don't need every page separately? Switch the mode in the panel. Every N pages cuts the document into equal parts, for example chapters of 10 pages. Pick pages makes one PDF from the pages you click, in your order. The main Split PDF page explains both.
After splitting
Unzip the download and the single pages are ready to rename, attach or file. To put some of them back together later, open them in Merge PDF; the numbered names keep them in their original order when you select them all at once. If a page came out sideways, fix it with Rotate PDF before or after splitting.
Limits and what to expect
- Each single-page file still contains the fonts its page uses, so together the files are usually larger than the original.
- Bookmarks and form fields are not copied into the new files.
- Very long documents create many files at once; a 300-page file gives a ZIP with 300 PDFs.
- To get images instead of PDFs, use PDF to images.
