How to reorder and delete PDF pages
Open one or more PDFs. Pages from each file are added to the end of the board. With several files, labels such as A3 or B1 tell you which file a page came from.
Drag pages into order. Drag a thumbnail and drop it before or after another page. On a phone, press and hold a page for a moment before dragging, so normal scrolling still works. With a keyboard, focus a page and use the arrow keys.
Delete and rotate. The bin button marks a page for deletion; press it again to restore the page. The rotate buttons turn a page 90 degrees left or right. The example's fourth page was scanned sideways; one click on rotate right fixes it.
Save. The summary lists what will change: pages kept, deleted, rotated and whether the order changed. The new PDF is read back after saving so you can see its page count and rotations.
When it helps
Cleaning up scans. Remove blank pages, put pages that went through the scanner out of order back in sequence, and fix sideways pages in one pass.
Building one document from several. Take the cover from one file, two pages from another and an appendix from a third.
Removing pages before sharing. Deleted pages are not hidden; they are left out of the new file entirely, so their content is not sent along.
Reversing a stack.Reverse order fixes a document that was scanned last page first.
Limits and what to expect
Pages are copied unchanged into a new PDF, so text, images and quality stay the same.
When you change the order or delete pages, bookmarks and fillable form fields are not carried over. If you only rotate pages, the original file is updated in place and they are kept; the Rotate PDF page is built for that.
Thumbnails are drawn on your device. A document with hundreds of pages takes a few seconds to show them all; you can start arranging straight away.
Undo all changes brings back the original order, rotation and deleted pages.
Organize pages: questions and answers
How do I move a page?
Drag its thumbnail to the new place. A yellow bar shows where it will land. On touch screens, press and hold the page briefly first. With a keyboard, focus the page and press an arrow key.
Is a deleted page really gone?
Yes. The new PDF is built only from the pages you keep, so the content of deleted pages is not in the file at all.
Can I combine pages from different PDFs?
Yes. Add several PDFs and their pages appear on the same board. Arrange and delete them freely, then save one document.
Can I undo a mistake?
Press a page's bin button again to restore it, rotate it back, or use Undo all changes to return to the original. Your original file is never modified.
Why are bookmarks missing after reordering?
Bookmarks point to page positions in the old file. When pages are rebuilt into a new document, those links can't be carried over reliably, so they are left out.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. The PDF is read into this browser tab and processed by JavaScript running on your device. The result is created in memory and saved by your browser. You can check this yourself in the Network panel.
Does it work without an internet connection?
Yes, once the page has finished loading. The PDF code is downloaded when the page opens, so you can switch off Wi-Fi and keep working in the same tab. Reloading the page needs a connection again.
Is there a file size limit?
There is no limit set by us, because nothing is uploaded. The practical limit is your device's memory: a few hundred pages is fine on a laptop, while a very large scan can be slow on an older phone.
What happens to digital signatures?
Any change to a signed PDF invalidates its digital signature, in this tool or any other. If a signature must stay valid, send the original file instead.
